Selected candidates have the opportunity to gain insight into the German production landscape and meet producers and professionals, in accordance with their profile. High profile personalities from the German film industry and cultural institutions act as patrons for the artist-in-residence programme.

The programme in 2010
The next programme will take place from May to July 2010. The Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Israel Film Fund and Jerusalem Film Festival jointly announced the winner of this year's artist-in-residence scholarship during the Israeli reception at the Berlinale: The filmmaker Yael Kayam will be spending three months in Berlin developing her next project, making contacts in the German film industry and getting inspired by the creative energy in the city. The Nipkow Programme will again facilitate and organise the stay in Berlin for the new artist-in-residence just as they did so successfully in 2009 with Suha Arraf and Itamar Alkaly.
The announcement will be made during the Berlinale 2010.
