Medienboard-Cocktail in Cannes

Berlin/Postdam/Cannes - On Monday afternoon 300 international and German producers, actors and directors attended the Medienboard Cocktail on the occasion of five Medienboard funded films selected for this year's Festival de Cannes. Medienboard, Unverzagt von Have, Commerzbank and Studio Babelsberg welcomed their guests at the Grand Hotel.

Amongst the guests: producers Dr. Carl Woebcken and Christoph Fisser (Studio Babelsberg) as well as the actors Daniel Brühl, Christoph Waltz, Gedeon Burkhard and Jana Pallaske starring in Quentin Tarantino's „Inglourious Basterds", the producers of Michael Haneke's competition film „The White Ribbon" Manuela Stehr and Stefan Arndt (X Filme Creative Pool), the team of „Jaffa" - presented as Special Screening - including the Berlin-based co-producers of Rohfilm, Thanassis Karathanos (Twenty Twenty Vision) whose „Ajami" is shown in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs and „Altiplano" co-producer Heino Deckert, who joined the party together with Hollywood-Star Tilda Swinton.

On Tuesday morning approximately 150 film makers from Germany, France, Italy, Spain and -as this year's special guests - from Scandinavia attended the CRC (Capital Regions for Cinema) meeting on the terrace of Hotel Palais Stephanie to find co-producers for their upcoming projects.
