Happy Birthday I: 25 Years of interfilm - International Short Film Festival Berlin
(November 3-8, 2009, Berlin)
interfilm is Berlin's most important short film festival and set to enjoy record numbers in its 25th anniversary year: 500 short films were chosen from over 6,000 submissions from over 110 countries. Special highlights include the theme of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Wall under the heading "Ostfront/Westfront" and a focus on Russian and Dutch films. Happy Birthday II:  5 Years of the Berlinale World Cinema Fund
(November 4-7, 2009, Hackesche Höfe Kino, Berlin)
The Berlinale World Cinema Fund (WCF) is celebrating its 5th anniversary. Ten films from all WCF regions will be shown over the course of ten days, including works by directors Salif Traoré, Raya Martin and Kiko Goifman, whose films will be presented in the WCF Spotlight. droidcon '09: The World's First  Google Android Conference  in Berlin
(November 3-4, 2009, Dahlem-Cube, Berlin)
On November 3 and 4, the "droidcon" - the world's first conference dealing with the license-free operating system for mobile applications from Google and Open Handset Alliance -will take place in Berlin. digarec '09: Congress on the Logic and Structure of Computer Games in Potsdam
(November 5-7, 2009, Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preußischen Geschichte, Potsdam)
Researchers will be presenting their models and theories on the subject of the "Structure and Logic of Computer Games as a Medium" to international experts from the USA, Denmark, Holland and many other countries. Mark J. P. Wolf, author of the prominent work "Medium of the Computer Game," is only one of many speakers contributing a keynote address at the conference. The Place to Be for Music I: MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 in Berlin

Premiere Record: 19th Film Festival  for Eastern European Film in Cottbus
(November 10-15, 2009, Cottbus)
The leading festival for Eastern European film is set to show 140 films from 34 countries. The festival will open with the Medienboard-funded German-Russian co-production "The Last Station" starring Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer. BAMBI Goes Babelsberg: Germany's Most Important Media Award in Potsdam
