Berlin-Brandenburg is Germany's capitol region for cinema and it has an illustrious tradition of film making. The region houses the largest studio capacity in Europe, including the world renowned Babelsberg studios. More than 300 films are shot here everey year, among others, Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds", Roman Polanski's "Ghost Writer", Stephen Daldry's "The Reader", "The Bourne Supremacy" by Paul Greengrass and "The International" by Tom Tykwer. Last but not least: The Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) is one of the top four film festivals in Europe.
