Film Funding

The Medienboard supports film projects in the categories of content development, production, sales and distribution, as well as many other related endeavors. A sole authority, the managing director, makes all final decisions. The managing director works with a team of advisers. They handle individual projects and also advise the applicants. A meeting with an advisor is a mandatory part of the application process. Application forms can only be obtained directly from the advisors.

Funding is given to all genres and almost all formats including feature films, animation films, documentaries, children's films, art house and mainstream films. When making funding decisions, special emphasis is placed on the quality of the screenplay, encouragement of young talents and support for international co-productions.
