Roughly 30,000 people from around the world will descend upon the German capital for this year’s DMY International Design Festival Berlin. This platform for contemporary product design will showcase 500 established and up-and-coming designers along with their furniture, interior accessories, lighting and innovative multidisciplinary projects.

The bbfc (Berlin Brandenburg Film Commission) is set to showcase the Berlin-Brandenburg region at the joint stand of the German Film Commission at the AFCI Locations Trade Show. It will be taking place for the first time in cooperation with the “Produced By” Conference of the Producers Guild of America. This collaboration will bring production representatives in direct contact with American and international film commissions with the goal of encouraging marketing and exchange. or

The "You Are GO!" festival will bring post-digital game culture, the most important players and the best games on the international scene to Germany for the first time. Instead of being installed in the virtual world, the games will be featured on everyday platforms using smart phones, walkie-talkies, chalk, balloons and much more. Highlights include games such as "Shadowplay", "Stag Hunt", "Gentrification", "The ONE", "15,000 Gray" and "Asteroids!".

THE PIXEL LAB 2011 Goes Potsdam
The 2nd edition of the international and innovative cross-media workshop known as “Pixel Lab” will take place in Germany’s capital region with support from MEDIA and the Medienboard, both of whom also initiated the program. At the six-day workshop, about 40 producers, developers and decision-makers will have the opportunity to discuss the conception, financing and distribution of cross-media projects with international cross-media pioneers. Among those participating are Ian Ginn (Transmedia Story Network), Ben Grass (Pure Grass Films), Michel Reilhac (ARTE) and Adam Sigel (Content Strategist & Writer).
