    From Babylon Berlin, the fifth season of Homeland or You are Wanted – all series are prominent examples of choices made in the Serial Drama sub-category of our new funding programme for serial productions. Funding advisors Veronica Grob and Oliver Zeller are the primary contacts for this programme.  In addition, the Medienboard is a partner in the Franco-German program funding the development of TV fiction series.

    Medienboard funds the development and production of entertainment TV programming. Applications must be accompanied by a letter of intent from a TV programmer.

  • WIGO - Webvideo-Förderprogramm

    Zusammen mit dem Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg suchen wir Eure Ideen für ein regelmäßiges Video-Format für beispielsweise YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram oder Snapchat. Ob Entertainment, Talk, Webserie oder Doku – gesucht werden Formate aus allen Genres. Comedy, Lifestyle, Politik oder Wissenschaft – alle Themen sind erlaubt.   • Canada-Germany Digital Media Incentive

    Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced an agreement during gamescom 2017 to establish an incentive for the codevelopment and coproduction of digital media projects between Canadian producers and German producers based in Berlin-Brandenburg. The announcement of the Canada-Germany Digital Media Incentive was made at the Berlin-Brandenburg reception during Gamescom in Cologne, where Canada is the official partner country.

    To qualify, projects must involve producers eligible under both organisations’ criteria. Projects will have to be created for digital platforms and can be either a game, a web series, multiplatform content, augmented reality or virtual reality experiences. Find all information here!

Berlin Brandenburg Film Commission

First contact point for film teams, with databases for film locations, current productions, film professionals, and addresses. Additionally facilitates film permits, and offers industry coaching.

European Funding for Creative and Cultural Sectors

Creative Europe Desk Berlin-Brandenburg is one of four MEDIA information offices in Germany and is the contact point for the Creative Europe Programme, which provides funding for Europe’s creative and cultural sectors. 

Funding for Serial Formats

Funding category, operational since 2015, supports the development and production of serial programming in all genres, regardless of whether the content is intended for linear or non-linear viewing. funding is provided to independent producers, and includes serial drama as well as entertainment and fact-based formats. Applicants must participate in an interview with the appropriate funding advisor before submitting their applications.
