  • Berlinale Talents

    Berlinale Talents brings young filmmakers together with proven experts for a week of master classes, panel discussions, and networking events. The theme of the 2015 Berlinale Talents was “Space Discovery”.

  • media.net catapult

    The 10-month programme supports start-ups and young companies in Berlin and Brandenburg’s media and digital sectors. One to two evening meetings per month provide participating entrepreneurs with intimate access to other founders’ experiences and networks, as well as financial coaching and potential mentors.

  • Media Residency Program „Berlin Capital Region – New York"

    The Media Residency Programme “Berlin Capital Region – New York, New York – Berlin Capital Region” offers three-month fellowships to entrepreneurs, creatives, and young digital-media professionals. The fellowships include travel costs, accommodation, room in a co-working space, a cash allowance, and mentoring.

  • Serial Eyes

    The first European postgraduate program for screenwriters and producers of high-quality TV series. The intensive eight-month course, accepting just 12 participants, was developed by the Deutsche Film- Und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB) in conjunction with the London Film School and the National Film School of Denmark.

  • The Erich Pommer Institute

    The Erich Pommer Institute is a well-known independent research and training institution for the media industry, with a focus on services for filmmakers. From seminars to workshops, experienced industry experts provide instruction on current and practice-relevant topics. The Medienboard supports selected events.

What we Fund

Medienboard funds initiatives and activities intended to encourage professional development within Berlin-Brandenburg as a media location. In this context, events both for young creatives and experienced industry representatives are supported. Examples include the following:
