Next Round: 300.000 Euro für neue Ko-Entwicklungen und Ko-Produktionen von digitalen Inhalten

Medienboard and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) are releasing their joint development fund – the Canada Germany Digital Media Incentive – for the next round! It will support co-development and co-production efforts for digital content involving Canadian and German producers from Berlin-Brandenburg. Applications can be submitted effective immediately and until 1 September.

Helge Jürgens, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg managing director: “The cooperation with Canada, one of the most successful media locations on the globe, provides Berlin-Brandenburg's producers with numerous benefits: exchange with an important international market, new options for co-production and funding, a transatlantic network as well as new impulses and synergies in terms of content and production processes.”

To qualify for funding, projects must be developed for evaluation on digital platforms and can be from the gaming, web series, multi-platform or VR/AR experience areas. In its fourth year, the amount provided by the Canada Germany Digital Media Incentive is 300,000 euros, with both funding institutions contributing one half each.

Since the start of the programme in 2017, a total of 9 projects were funded with an amount of roughly 800,000 euros.
