Medienboard-funded Exchange Program with New York Back for Another Round
Entrepreneurs, creatives and content producers working in the digital media industries in Berlin-Brandenburg and New York are invited to apply starting right now for the second round of the Media Residency Program "Berlin Capital Region – New York, New York – Berlin Capital Region," which was launched in 2015. The program offers two recipients each from the German capital region and New York the opportunity to work and network in the opposing location. The Media Residency Program is funded by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and carried out by Startup Germany. The program's cooperation partners include Made in NY Media Center by IFP, betahaus and deutsche startups.
Startups, companies and individuals with at least two years professional experience in the development and/or production of digital media products, such as games, apps, trans-media projects, cross-media projects and web series, are invited to apply. The total of four stipends cover travel costs, lodging, a workspace in a co-working space and a monthly allowance. In addition, the stipend recipients are offered a customized mentoring program. The Media Residency Program will take place from April to June 2016 and will also give stipend recipients the opportunity to take part in industry events, such as the MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin, re:publica and the Internet Week New York. Applications for the 2016 exchange will be accepted until December 20, 2015.
