Berlin/Potsdam - Medienboard, Nipkow Programm und Berlinale kooperieren und bündeln Know-how und Netzwerk in Sachen Filmstipendien. Die neue Website Berlin Film Residencies gibt dabei einen Überblick über die verschiedenen Stipendienprogramme, die vom Medienboard unterstützt werden: BERLIN Artist-in-Residency (BERLIN AiR), Nipkow Programm und Haus am See Stipendium. 

Internationale Filmemacher*innen können sich über dieses Portal informieren, wie und wo man sich für ein Arbeitsstipendium in der Hauptstadtregion bewerben kann. Die kreative Atmosphäre hier hat u.a. einen maßgeblichen Anteil an der Entstehung von "Foxtrot" (Samuel Maoz), "Lunchbox" (Ritesh Batra), "Gloria" (Sebastián Lelio) und Karim Ainouz' "Zentralflughafen THF" und "Praia do Futuro".
 
Ritesh Batra - "I loved the time I spent in Berlin, the creative energy of the city and its people. I think it made my writing and me as a writer better for it. There is no place like Berlin, it is testament to the possibility of healing and reinvention, and the infinite possibilities of stories, both real and imagined. Filmemacher*innen aus der Hauptstadtregion finden Angebote für internationale Arbeitsstipendien, um für ein paar Monate an einem inspirierenden Ort an ihren Projekten zu arbeiten, wie z.B. Pola Beck und Jan-Ole Gerster.
 
Pola Beck -"My summer in Tel Aviv left such a strong impression on me. I absorbed experiences and encounters that helped my project. It’s super that MBB funds all these opportunities for filmmakers to expand their horizons and spend time in different places around the world."

Jan-Ole Gerster - "The residency I had in Mexico was one of the best experiences of my life. Mexico is an incredibly friendly, beautiful, colourful and vibrant country."
