MBB promotes investments in the future of cinemas with an additional one million euros
Berlin / Potsdam - Lights out, film on! The really great cinema experiences of the future are only possible with outstanding technology, perfect projection and sound, comfy seats, good ventilation and successful marketing... and of course SUSTAINABLE!
For this reason MBB is providing one million euros for cinema investments in the capital region for 2023, supplementing the BKM’s Future Cinema Programme (Zukunftsprogramm Kino, ZPK).
The MBB funding is awarded as a 20% subsidy to the ZPK – as long as budget funds last!
Kirsten Niehuus, Managing Director of MBB: “We definitely want to maintain the diversity of cinemas in Berlin-Brandenburg because it’s an important part of the cultural landscape in our region. It’s also why we’ve once again increased funding after the crisis years caused by the pandemic. After all, only cinema can do what cinema can do!”
