Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is the main institution for the film and media industry in the German capital region. The Film Funding division supports films and high-end series, advises filmmakers on financing issues, and provides impetus for further training within the film industry. The New Media Funding division promotes the development and production of games and innovative audiovisual content – including multiplatform content, virtual and augmented reality – as well as serialized formats in the areas of factual, entertainment, and fiction. In addition, MBB is committed to a vibrant film, television, and media landscape through a variety of initiatives and events, with a strong focus on supporting emerging talent.
