MBB supervisory board confirms Kirsten Niehuus and Helge Jürgens for another 5 years

Kirsten Niehuus and Helge Jürgens will remain Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg’s general management duo for another 5 years. This was resolved by the supervisory board at its meeting in December.

Berlin’s ruling mayor Michael Müller and Brandenburg’s minister president Dr. Dietmar Woidke: "Berlin-Brandenburg is Germany’s prime location for films, high-end series and new media. The multitude of international film awards, blockbusters, shooting day records and the full employment in the film and media industry speak for themselves and for Berlin and Brandenburg as a cosmopolitan, innovative and film-friendly capital region. Fifteen successful years of funding by the Medienboard are paying. Kirsten Niehuus and Helge Jürgens put the film and media location in an excellent position for the future. We think the challenges of the years ahead are in the best possible hands with them."
