Seven. One Entertainment Group is a new partner of Medienboard’s new media funding: Joint funding pot and Digital Pitch Days launching

PRESS RELEASE

Creative Help. Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg’s new media funding and the Seven. One Entertainment Group jointly support the production landscape in Berlin-Brandenburg. The goal of the cooperation, which includes paying into the funding pot as well as jointly organising the Digital Pitch Days, is the development and realisation of innovative serial materials and a more intensive exchange with production talents from the region.

Seven. One Entertainment Group’s contribution to the pot of new media funding will support the development and production of serial formats in the fields of entertainment, factual and fiction.

To bring together broadcaster representatives and producers, the “Digital Pitch Days - Berlin Producers To Meet” will take place on December 7 and 8. Producers from the region are invited to pitch fresh show formats and factual entertainment formats in digital one-on-one meetings. The focus is on small and medium-sized companies from Berlin and Brandenburg that want to realise their series material with the Seven. One Entertainment Group. The deadline for applications is 17 November. More information on how to participate and the event can be found here

“We are delighted to have Seven. One Entertainment Group as a new partner for new media funding,” said Helge Jürgens, managing director of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. “So many creative, bold and forward-thinking format ideas are emerging at the location, there’s huge potential here! With the Digital Pitch Days, we want to find and promote the developers behind these projects. The new collaboration will create an experimental field that is a win-win for both sides – broadcasters and production.”

“Proprietary content makes us distinctive across all platforms. At ProSieben alone, the share of commissioned productions in prime time has increased by 80 percent in the past two years, and the trend is upward. The demand for creative content is unbroken, the claim to offer the best entertainment linear and digital remains,”, said Daniel Rosemann, head of the ProSieben broadcasting family. Added Kaspar Pflüger, head of the SAT.1 broadcasting family: “To achieve this, we need a lively creative pool of media professionals in this country. Cooperating with Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is an opportunity for us to network even better than before. And it’s another step for us to create an umbrella for the creative talent in the industry, both in front of and behind the camera, with our content company.”

The Seven. One Entertainment Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, headquartered in Unterföhring near Munich. It combines station brands as well as the content, digital and marketing business under one roof, thus offering viewers cross-media content across all platforms. The company bundles the TV stations, the marketer Seven. One Media and many other entertainment areas.
