Statement on digital accessibility

We make every effort to ensure that our website is accessible. This declaration on digital accessibility is issued in accordance with the Brandenburg Regulation on Accessible Information Technology (BbgBITV) in conjunction with the Brandenburg Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (BbgBGG). The technical accessibility requirements are based on BITV 2.0.

This digital‑accessibility declaration applies to the websites of Medienboard Berlin‑Brandenburg GmbH and the Berlin Brandenburg Film Commission published at www.medienboard.de and www.bbfc.de.

This declaration was created and/or last revised on 28 June 2025.

The statements made here were last reviewed on 10 July 2025.

The review of digital accessibility was carried out by the public body named above through a self‑evaluation.

How accessible is this website?

This website is partially accessible. It meets the requirements of BITV 2.0 only in part.

Which content is not accessible?

The following sections are not accessible for the reasons stated:

  • Navigation: The site’s navigation cannot be fully operated with a keyboard. Some links are not sufficiently highlighted, and drop‑down elements (“accordions”) cannot be used without a mouse.
  • Heading structure: On some sub‑pages the heading hierarchy is not fully logical, limiting navigation with keyboard and screen readers.
  • Non‑accessible PDFs: Some PDF files provided are not yet accessible.
  • Images without alternative text: Images embedded on the site lack alternative text.

We plan to overhaul and relaunch our website during 2026 to provide a fully accessible offering.
