Since 2016, MBB has been supporting the FSD Foundation and the GFB clearing house: two initiatives in Berlin and Brandenburg that take care of displaced under-age children and adolescents.
The FSD Foundation promotes and supports people in social emergencies with its offerings. A longstanding and central facility is the initial reception, where all refugee children and adolescents arriving in Berlin without their parents find a first point of contact. Your donation enables leisure activities that make the process of arriving in a foreign land and starting a new life a bit easier.
The GFB clearing house for unaccompanied, displaced minors in Potsdam is usually the first point of contact in Germany for the young people. During their stay of about three months, a multi-professional team ensures a protected framework for mental stabilisation and for a gentle and caring arrival. The GFB is dependent on donations for recreational activities adapted to the special needs of these young people, some of whom are severely traumatised, and for designing special rooms (to help with therapy, relaxation, mourning etc.).
Together, both organisations form a strong team. Your help and support is greatly appreciated - further donations are of course gladly accepted.
