Applications for film funding can only be submitted to the MBB by production or distribution companies. This also applies to screenplay and script development funding. An application meeting with one of our funding executives is an absolute prerequisite for submitting an application. These talks should take place 2 weeks before the deadline.

You will receive access to the application portal after the meeting. Applications for development funding as well as production funding are generally processed by all of our funding officers. Applicants must have a permanent company seat in Berlin-Brandenburg or Germany.
