15 MBB-funded films and series at the Berlinale

Berlin / Potsdam - The Berlinale will open its 75th anniversary edition on February 13 with Das Licht by Tom Tykwer. Additionally, the Berlinale Special will present Kein Tier. So Wildby Burhan Qurbani, A Letter to David by Tom Shoval, Islandsby Jan-Ole Gerster, Köln 75 by Ido Fluk, and Ancestral Visions of the Future by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese.

In the Panorama section, the following films will premiere: Die Möllner Briefeby Martina Priessner, Zikadenby Ina Weisse, Other People's Moneyby Jan Schomburg, Dustin Loose, and Kaspar Munk, Ich will alles. Hildegard Knef by Luzia Schmid, and Schwesterherzby Sarah Miro Fischer.

The Perspectives section will showcase Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagenby Constanze Klaue.

In the Forum section, When Lightning Flashes Over the Seaby Eva Neymann will have its premiere.

Additionally, Parallel Me by Felix Binder, Vanessa Jopp, and Sebastian Sorger will be featured at the Berlinale Series Market.

We are very excited that DAS LICHT, a wonderful film from Berlin, will be presented to an international audience at the opening of the 75th anniversary edition of the Berlinale. This is also a great start for the 15 films and series funded by MBB, half of which were directed by women. We wish Tricia Tuttle and her team much joy and good luck with their first festival edition!”
