5 awards for games from the Capital Region at the German Computer Games Awards! ++ THE DARKEST FILES named Best German Game!
The DCP returns to Berlin in 2027!
Berlin / Potsdam – A strong showing for the Capital Region’s games industry at the DCP 2026: the Berlin-based studio Paintbucket Games won the top prize Best German Game with THE DARKEST FILES and also received the award for Best Serious Game. FLICK SHOT ROGUES by Butter By The Fish / Noodlecake Studios was honored as Best Family Game.
In total, five games from the Capital Region received awards, and two additional studios were granted prize money for their nominations in the newcomer categories.

FUNDED NOMINATIONS
The MBB-funded game CARDS AND CANNONS (Flamehead Games) received €25,000 in prize money in the category Newcomer Award: Best Prototype. In addition, CONSTANCE (Blue Backpack / ByteRockers’ Games) was honored with prize money in the category Newcomer Award: Best Debut.
The German Computer Games Award (DCP) is the most important prize for the German games industry and has been presented since 2009. The best computer and video games of the year Made in Germany are honored in 15 categories with total prize money of €800,000. With an impressive 17 nominations, the Capital Region was particularly well represented in all funded categories at this year’s DCP. The DCP awards gala will take place in Berlin again next year.
