PRESS RELEASE
Berlin / Potsdam – Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg offers interactive digital media producers and developers based in Berlin and Brandenburg the opportunity to make new connections with Canada from 25 to 27 November 2020. The virtual event consists of panels and curated one-on-one meetings. It is organised in cooperation with Ontario Creates, Creative BC and the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service.
It aims to connect producers and developers from Berlin and Brandenburg with Canadian companies and initiate co-productions between them. Medienboard and Canada Media Fund (CMF) have been supporting transatlantic cooperation since 2018 with the joint Canada Germany Digital Media Incentive. Find more information here.
Helge Jürgens, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg managing director for new media funding: “The coronavirus pandemic represents a break in terms of personal exchange at fairs, markets and festivals for many developers and producers. With the ‘Canadian-German Virtual Exchange’ we aim to react to this situation and create an opportunity for targeted networking of co-production partners: Germany meets Canada at the new digital co-production market ‘made by Medienboard, Ontario Creates, Creative BC and the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service’!”
