Berlin / Potsdam - Matthias Schweighöfer appears in front of the camera for Erik Schmitt’s film Das Leben der Wünsche, Bora Dagtekin is working with Jella Haase on the Fack Ju Göhte spinoff Chantal im Märchenland’, Sandra Hüller has the lead role in Sandra Wollner’s Everytime, and with School of Magical Animals: Part 3 the public’s favourite and multiple audience millionaire gains yet another sequel.

Pia Strietmann is shooting the Berlin series Next Level with Lisa Vicari based on a script by journalist Alexander Osang, the horror multi-production Hameln resurrects the Pied Piper after almost 800 years, and Garten Eden tells of a culinary genius with bipolar disorder. For The Little Vampire, the children’s classic is developed into a series – and I Seek a Kind Person is a historical drama series developed by an experienced trio of writers about children’s transports during the Second World War when thousands of Jewish children were sent unaccompanied to England.

MBB awards over six million euros of funding to 30 new film and series projects in its April session.
