German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund supports 3 new projects with 40.000 Euros, essential source for German-Turkish art house films

Berlin / Potsdam - The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund, established by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the Istanbul Film Festival - Meetings on the Bridge has selected 3 projects in the 2022 selection session.
 

Pastoral Pathways by Ahmet Necdet Çupur,  20.000 €
Co-producers: Nadir Öperli (Liman Film), Nicole Gerhards (Company NiKo Film)

Those Who Whistle In The Dark  by Pınar Yorgancıoğlu,  15.000 €
Co-producers: Ortak Yapımcılar: Zeynep Sıla Ekmekçi (indibindi Film Yapım), Sandra Mueller (Company Marlene Film)

Thursday Night Is Too Dark  by Onur Sefer,  5.000 €
Co-producers: Tilbe Cana İnan, Zeynep Koray (ZKF), Aycan Aluçlu, Katharina Suckale (Bombay Berlin)

The German-Turkish Coproduction Development Fund is an essential source for German-Turkish art house films. Many of the funded films have impressive festival careers. A recent success is "Snow and the Bear" by Selcen Ergun, which had its world premiere at TIFF in Toronto this year, showed at the Hamburg Film Festival and won Best First Feature and Best Actress at the Golden Orange Film Festival, Antalya.
