4 MBB-funded films at the Venice Film Festival #Venezia80

#MBBFunded - "King’s Land" and "Die Theorie von Allem" celebrate their world premiere at the Venice Film Festival!

Berlin / Potsdam / Venice - Venezia, arriviamo! 4 MBB-funded films celebrate a world premiere in the programme of the 80th Venice Film Festival. The competition for the Golden Lion presents the mystery thriller Die Theorie von Allem by Timm Kröger and the drama King’s Land by Danish director Nikolaj Arcel, with Mads Mikkelsen in the leading role.

The Turkish-German co-production Yurt by director Nehir Tuna – supported by the German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund of MBB, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Istanbul Film Festival – Meetings on the Bridge - enters the competition in the Orizzonti section.

Élise Girard’s drama Sidonie in Japan, with Isabelle Huppert and August Diehl, will be screened in the Official Selection of the Venice Days (Giornate Degli Autori) independent film festival series.
